What's included on the Free plan?
Full POS, KDS, floor plan, reservations, waitlist, guest profiles, split checks, scheduling, reports, employee management, and cash management for one location, up to 2,500 orders per month. AI menu import and SMS are not included on the Free plan, but can be added for $10/month.
What happens when I hit my order limit?
Nothing immediate. You get a 30-day grace period to upgrade. During grace, everything works normally. If you don't upgrade after 30 days, new order creation pauses — but your existing data, reports, and management tools keep working.
What counts as an order?
Only paid orders count toward your limit. Voided, canceled, or test orders don't count.
How does per-location pricing work?
Growth and Pro plans are priced per location. Each location gets its own order limit. Add or remove locations anytime — billing adjusts automatically.
Can I downgrade?
Yes, anytime. If you go from Growth to Plus, your additional locations become read-only. You keep your data.
Is there a contract?
No. All plans are month-to-month. Cancel anytime with no penalties.
Do I need special hardware?
No. PlateFlow runs in a web browser on any tablet, laptop, or desktop. No proprietary hardware required.
What is the $10/month Free add-on?
Free plan users can add AI menu import and 500 SMS messages/month for $10/month. This is ideal if you want to snap a photo of your menu instead of typing it in, and send a few texts to guests. If you need more than 500 SMS/month or higher order volume, the Plus plan ($49/month) is a better fit.
How does SMS billing work?
Each paid plan includes a monthly SMS allowance: 500/month on the Free add-on, 2,500/month on Plus, 5,000/month per location on Growth, and 10,000/month per location on Pro. Messages beyond your allowance are billed at $0.02 per SMS. Free plan without the add-on does not include SMS.
